A writer/editor/storyteller with more than 15 years’ experience in the areas of higher education, healthcare, and arts and culture, Barbara joined Michigan Creative in January 2018 from the Department of Marketing Communications at the U-M Kellogg Eye Center. She previously served as stewardship writer in the Office of Development, and has also worked with other U-M departments, including the Museum of Art, Stamps School of Art & Design, SMTD, and College of Engineering. She has also written for the Chicago Tribune, Art & Antiques, and Hour Detroit, among other publications. The holder of a BA in English/journalism from Madonna University, Barbara will be working primarily on the State Strategy: Stories of our State initiative at MC. In her downtime, she is founder+editor of SLICE ANN ARBOR, an arts and culture series.
