Every year, the University of Michigan produces a certified audited financial statement, which comprises part of an annual report that also includes an overview of U-M’s strategic initiatives. The report had been delivered in the past in digital flipbook format and as a printed piece. Due to limitations in the reach of the printed report, in 2016, the report was “reimagined,” and was delivered as a full custom website to better showcase our accomplishments and increase engagement among a broader audience.
The digital Annual Report, delivered as a website (with an option to view and download a PDF), is visually appealing and features a flexible design, engaging photos, and an intuitive site structure and information hierarchy. Infographics help provide information in an interesting and accessible way, and video and other rich media enhance the storytelling efforts. The site also features strong U-M branding, including prominent logos and color palette and typography.
Much of our event’s success had to do with Michigan Creative’s consistently great work. They were always positive and helpful and willing to do whatever it took to simultaneously make a deadline and an exceptional product.
