As U-M’s hub for entrepreneurship and innovation, Innovate Blue helps ensure that U-M deliver engaged learning experiences. Innovate Blue asked Michigan Creative to design an annual report, “Made at Michigan,” that would showcase U-M’s broad array of innovative, creative, and entrepreneurial ventures, and tell the story of U-M’s entrepreneurship programs.

To enable more people to access the report, Michigan Creative designed and produced both an online and a printed version of “Made at Michigan,” which showcases student ventures launched at U-M during the 2015-2016 school year. The project included an exhaustive discovery process, which helped direct the information architecture and development of the site, and the look and feel for both pieces. The end product is a visually appealing report that employs colorful imagery and infographics to increase engagement; the website also features a robust search that allows users to look for programs by topic, school/college, product stage, and more. We promoted the report via print and digital ads. Additionally, we instituted a social media campaign on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook, and continue to post #madeatmichigan venture news every Tuesday.
