Office of the Registrar
The U-M Office of the Registrar came to Michigan Creative to develop a new website to meet the needs and expectations of a wide variety of audience constituencies. The original site had become outdated in appearance, design, and functionality, and was not reflective of U-M identity and brand standards. Additionally, the site was not responsive, so users on mobile devices could not access critical content.
The new website includes upgraded features and new content, as well as enhanced navigation and optimized search functionality. A streamlined information architecture was developed, and a clean, contemporary design was created. Major enhancements include updates to the Calendars and Tuition & Fees sections, new “announcements” functionality, and improvements to information about enrollment, degrees, freshmen retention, and other student population data.
“As information consumers, we are looking for convenience and relevance,” says Betsy Erikson Brown, director of integrated marketing communications at Enrollment Management. “We expect this new site to deliver a far better digital experience.”
The comprehensive redesign of website “was not easy,” said Paul Robinson, associate vice provost and university registrar. “We relied on the expertise of Michigan Creative to make this a success, and could not have done it without this talented team.”
